HV Testbench Engineer (Munich)

Job description

  • You will work in the R&D test center
  • You will be part of a fast-moving engineering team in a highly innovative environment
  • You will work on the HV test rigs, performing tests on the EV and HEV products of tomorrow
  • You will take ownership for the HV test rigs to ensure qualitative operation and to pursue continuous efficiency improvement
  • You will write test scripts and sequences on different platforms (LabView, Test stand)
  • You perform new development tests, analyze and report test data
  • You closely co-operate with test engineering, the test rigs operators and various other R&D departments
  • You will report to your Testbench Engineering team leader


  • You have an engineering degree in the field of mechatronics or electronics
  • You have experience in the field of or power electrics/electronics
  • Knowledge of electric motors (switched reluctance, permanent magnet), EM controls and/or high voltage systems is essential
  • You have strong problem-solving skills and are familiar with related methods like 8D.  You prevent problems by applying a structured personal work method where preparation is as important as execution.
  • Experience with control systems & SW (National Instruments, C++, Matlab Simulink, Canape) is an asset
  • You have a strong Q-mindset, you are familiar with 5S, housekeeping, preventive maintenance and safety regulations
  • You are a strong team player
  • Thanks to your clear communication skills and good knowledge of English, you are proficient in reporting knowledge and results
  • You are a perseverant person with a can-do mentality and have no problem getting your hands dirty
  • You are business fluent in English and feel confident with speaking another language (e.g. German, French)
